BSMC-4
Belgian Sleep Medicine Course

Goal of the course

The Belgian Sleep Medicine Course (BSMC) is an initiative of the Belgian Association for the Study of Sleep (BASS). It is conceived as a postgraduate modular programme organized on an inter-university platform. The target audience are MD specialists who care for patients with sleep disorders. The scope is to offer a comprehensive review of the most relevant aspects of normal sleep, sleep physiology and pathological sleep, pertaining to the field of different medical specialties.
The teaching Faculty consists of experts in the field. The participants will gain practical insight into sleep medicine and will be provided with tools that are useful for daily practice. The course has an interactive layout. In order to ensure optimal educational efficacy, the number of participants is limited to 25.
The first edition of the BSMC is in the academic year 2003-2004. The BSMC is endorsed by Medical Faculties of different Belgian Universities. Participants who successfully complete the course will receive a certificate. Each module will offer RIZIV / INAMI accreditation.
The registration fee per module is € 150 for BASS members. A reduction of 20% is offered for advance registration to the complete course. The registration fee is € 200 per module for non-members. This fee includes the educational package, attendance, coffee and lunch.
